When customers choose EAS antennas for their stores, they will hesitate whether to choose AM anti-theft system or RF anti-theft system? So what is the difference between the two systems?
1. Different working principle: AM anti-theft system uses the physical principle that the tuning fork only causes resonance when the oscillation frequency is the same, to achieve almost zero false alarm operation, and when AM label fixed on the product enters the detection area, a resonance is generated, but only after the receiver has received four consecutive resonance signals (once every 1/50 second), the alarm is sounded. RF anti-theft system uses the principle of radio frequency to transmit a 7.5~8.5MHz FM signal from the transmitting antenna, and a warning electric field is generated between the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna. When an induction tag enters the electric field, a resonance is generated to trigger an alarm.
2. Different working performance: In contrast, the stable detection rate and anti-interference ability of AM system are higher than that of RF anti-theft system, and with lower false alarm rate.
3. Different price: The price of AM anti-theft system is generally a little higher than that of RF anti-theft system.
4. Market share: Since the performance of AM anti-theft device is slightly better than that of RF anti-theft device, most retail stores prefer to choose the AM systems. But there are also many customers who choose to use RF system, because the application of RF labels will be more extensive.
Therefore, whether AM or RF system, Emeno can give the most professional suggestions according to your store needs.
