RFID overhead antennas are an indispensable core component in many RFID systems. Their advantages are mainly reflected in several aspects, including coverage efficiency, spatial utilization, installation flexibility, and environmental adaptability. RFID overhead antennas are installed on ceilings or high places, not occupying valuable shelf, floor, or aisle space. There are several common installation methods below, and you can choose a suitable installation method according to your store/shop's situation.

Common Installation Methods

1. Overhead Antenna Installation

① Suitable Scenarios: Indoor ceilings (e.g., warehouses, retail stores, libraries)

② Installation Method:

• Use the antenna's built-in mounting holes or bracket, and secure it to the ceiling using expansion bolts or hangers.
• Adjust the antenna angle to direct the radiation vertically downwards or at an inclination to cover the target area (e.g., conveyor belts, doorways)

③ Precautions: Ensure ceiling load-bearing capacity, and avoid interference sources such as metal structures and air conditioning vents.

2. Bracket/Crossbar Installation

① Application scenarios: Side mounting or angle adjustment required scenarios (such as above shelves, on both sides of aisles)

② Installation method:

• Use L-brackets, universal joints, or custom brackets to fix the antenna on the wall

• Can flexibly adjust the pitch angle and horizontal angle for precise coverage of the read/write area (such as warehouse aisles, production lines)

③ Precautions: The bracket must be stable, avoid vibration; lock the angle after adjustment

3. Flush-Mounted Hidden Installation

① Application scenarios: Places with aesthetic or safety requirements (such as high-end stores, exhibition halls)

② Installation method:

• Cut holes in the ceiling or decorative layer and embed the antenna

• Special embedded antennas are required (usually with protective covers)

③ Precautions: Avoid shielding by metal or high-density materials; ensure ventilation and heat dissipation

4. Ceiling-Mounted Installation

① Application scenarios: Similar to the installation of fire sprinklers, commonly used indoors

② Installation method:

• Use ceiling mounts or bases to directly attach or fix to the ceiling surface

• Neat appearance, quick installation

③ Precautions: Confirm ceiling material (magnetic mounts only suitable for ferrous ceilings)
